Sangiovese Merrill Cilento
How it drinks....
The colour is a deep brick red, which is typical of this variety. The aroma is very complex, showing great complexity and interest. Initially there is mint, liquorice and spice then pepper, cedar and leather before showing some earthiness and hints of prune and tobacco. The palate is equally as exciting with dark fruits, dark chocolate and mint coming forward, and held together by exceptional tannin and a tight balanced acid structure. This wine will continue to grow in complexity with further bottle age.
